Check out my new YouTube channel. Wondering what to make for dinner tonight? I had a bunch of delicious red fish filets in the freezer and a hungry family to feed. My tastebuds guided me to go with an Oriental inspired marinade.
The fish defrosted all day. Then it was finally time to make the garlicy, spicy, tangy lime marinade with Soya sauce, yum! I peeled the skin off of the filets and gave them a rinse in cold water. Dried them off, then marinated them in the zesty mixture for an hour before I fried them in a very hot pan. Just a few minutes on each side. Being careful not to burn the garlic.
My oldest son is on a “I don´t eat fish kick”, so I made him chicken cordon bleu. I find this topic to be tricky at the dinner table. I want everyone to enjoy their dinner, but I find myself in a dilemma making several different kind of dinners. Especially if I am serving fish. I do not want to force him to eat something he has in his head he does not like.
I know I am making too much work for myself, but I am trying to keep everyone happy. Any thoughts?
