Here are some clips from 2013 and 2015 in Gran Canaria. We visited Las Palmas and played on the city beach, Playa de Las Conteras. The weather during our stay was absolutely perfect, but that was to be expected especially since the weather on the South of the Island is a constant 75-80 degrees all year round. Pretty sweet.
Gran Canaria is the second most populous island of the Canary Islands. The archipelago is off the coast of Africa and belongs to Spain. They speak Spanish there and it has a population of around 840,000 people. The South of the Island a very popular tourist destination for Europeans.

There are not many Americans visiting the Canary Islands. I think it is because there are not any direct flights there from the States at this time. The sights and flavours of these beautiful tropical Islands should not be missed. Sure there are turistic areas, but as soon as you break off the beaten track the spectacular nature is like something out of Jurassic park. The small winding roads up into the mountains are hairy, but even busses drive there. We rented a car and circumnavigated the Island. We started early in the morning, but we were back at our apartment in time to see the sun go melt into the ocean from our balcony with a bottle of Spanish red wine. Cheers!
